A miscellany of unusual and under-appreciated grapes and wines. There are thousands of varieties of vitis vinifera. There’s nothing (-NOTHING-) wrong with the “usual,” but what else is there?

There’s nothing (-NOTHING-) wrong with the “usual” wine growing regions, but who else is making wine?

Some of these may be more well-known than others. Certainly, each will bring about a cry of “But I know about that one!” This is not the point. In a world of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, etc., why not see what else there is? Wine isn’t just California, France, Germany, and Italy. What is everyone else up to?

Below are some of the varietals of interest.  Anything not linked, is a page that is “coming soon.”
